Meeting with your guide at the airport in Van, from where we will drive to visit beautiful Van Castle. From city centre we will drive to 33 km to ferry terminal and have short cruise to Akdamar Island on the Lake Van. We will see Church of The Holy Cross, an Armenian church built between 915 and 921 AD. After visiting Akdamar Island we will drive to campsite near the Nemrut Crater Lake.

This first day offers the perfect introduction to Eastern Turkey before your Mount Ararat Tour begins. Visiting Van, Akdamar Island and Nemrut Crater Lake creates an unforgettable combination of history, culture and nature.

After breakfast we will start our trek to the West side of the Crater Lake and climb to the summit of Mount Nemrut. After descent from the summit we will be transferred to Mount Suphan. We will pitch our tents on the campsite. Dinner and overnight there. 

Hiking on Nemrut Volcano is an important part of your acclimatization before climbing higher mountains. This stage prepares you perfectly for Mount Suphan and the upcoming Mount Ararat Expedition.

After early breakfast we will start to ascent to the summit of Mount Suphan (4058 m), from where we will have breathtaking view of Van Lake and surroundings. After break for taking photos we will descent to campsite, for dinner and overnight. 

Climbing Mount Suphan (4058 m) provides spectacular panoramic views and valuable high-altitude experience. This is one of the best preparations before continuing your Mount Ararat Trek.

After breakfast, we will pack our belongings and drive to Dogubayazit, where we will check into our hotel to relax and take a shower. Later, we will have lunch in the town center. In the afternoon, you may visit the magnificent Ishak Pasha Palace, a 17th-century Ottoman palace located 7 km from Dogubayazit. The rest of the afternoon is free for you to explore the town or relax at your own pace.

Before starting your Mount Ararat Expedition, Dogubayazit offers the perfect opportunity to relax and explore the region’s rich cultural heritage. Visiting the magnificent Ishak Pasha Palace makes your Mount Ararat Tour even more memorable before the climbing adventure begins.

After breakfast in hotel we will pack our equipment and drive to Cevirme Village, near to the foot of Mount Ararat. Porters will put our luggage on horses and we will start our trek to the Camp 1 (Base Camp) at 3200 m. On the camp we will eat lunch, drink hot tea and pitch our tents. Rest time and dinner.

Overnight at Camp 1. 

Reaching Mount Ararat Base Camp (3200 m) is an exciting milestone of the Mount Ararat Tour. Our experienced local guides will accompany you throughout the climb, ensuring a safe and enjoyable trekking experience.

We eat breakfast on the Camp 1, pack our equipment and start to ascent to Camp 2 located at 4200 m. Horses will carry our luggage to Camp 2. On the campsite we will eat lunch, pitch our tents and prepare our equipment for next day (ascent to the summit).

Spending the night at High Camp (4200 m) allows your body to adapt before summit day. This important stage greatly improves the chances of a successful Mount Ararat Summit.

After very early wake up we will eat small breakfast and start to climb to the top of Mount Ararat (5137 m). After reaching the summit and short break for taking photos we will start to descent to Camp 2, where we will have a rest, lunch and we will pack our things. After a rest we will continue descent to Camp 1 and later to Cevirme Village, where minibuses will wait for us. We will back to Dogubayazit, to the hotel. 

Standing on the 5,137-meter summit of Mount Ararat is an unforgettable achievement. After celebrating your success, you will safely descend with our professional guides, completing one of the most rewarding Mount Ararat Expeditions in Turkey.

In the morning we will have breakfast at the hotel. Then, depending on your departure time we will drop you to the airport in Van.
